The 2016 Indian Tamil action thriller film Pichaikkaaran, which translates to "Beggar," was written and directed by Sasi and produced by Fatima. Starring Vijay Antony and Satna Titus, with supporting performances by Dheepa Ramanujam, Vazhakku En Muthuraman, and Bagavathi Perumal. Additionally, Antony wrote the movie's soundtrack.[2][3]In order to save his mother, who is terminally ill, Arul, played by Vijay Antony, a rich businessman, lives a covert life as a beggar for 48 days.

After receiving favorable reviews from reviewers upon its debut on March 4, 2016, Pichaikkaaran went on to become a box office hit.[4]The movie was remade as Baby in Odia, Bhikari in Marathi, and Amma I Love You in Kannada.[5]
